Razor Rest Launches Kickstarter Campaign for Production Funds

February 13 11:27 2015
Razor Rest is a convenient, sanitary alternative to laying expensive razors on sinks, commodes or bathtub edges. Now, the creator of Razor Rest has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to mass produce this unique item.

Razor Rest is an artistic yet useful design that offers those who use razors a place to keep it between shaves that is sanitary and convenient.  Now, the creator of Razor Rest has launched a Kickstarter campaign to gather funds for mass production of this design.

Located at http://kck.st/1C2zhoJ the Razor Rest campaign seeks to collect enough to begin production of this ceramic shaving razor rest.  The Razor Rest keeps expensive razors clean and dust-free, and features an element of sculpture that gives it an aesthetically pleasing look as well.

Besides the Razor Rest, the creator has also fashioned a Shaving Scuttle and Soap Dish, a Blade Bank/Sharps Box and a Badger Hair Shaving Brush.  Funds collected would be used to improve the production process and to market the product.

All Razor Rests are made from ceramic earthenware using the process of slip casting.  Each piece is fired twice, once to biscuit temperature and one after glazing to 1150 degrees Celsius.  This results in a strong product.  All pieces are made in the UK from local materials.

Rewards are offered at a variety of levels.  For £9, donors receive the ceramic shaving Razor Rest in black or ivory.  An £18 donation can be redeemed for a Blade Bank/Sharps Box in black.  £20 includes a black shaving cup, while £27 includes both Razor Rest and Blade Blank in black.  £37 includes the Shaving Scuttle and Soap Dish in black, while £40 includes the Badger Hair Shaving Brush.  £55 includes the Shaving Scuttle and Blade Bank in black.  £60 includes the Badger Hair shaving brush and shaving cup in black.  £64 includes the Razor Rest, Blade Bank and Scuttle with included Soap Dish in black.  £77 includes Shaving Scuttle and Badger Hair Brush in black.  £86 includes Shaving Scuttle with included Soap Dish, Badger Hair Shaving Brush and Razor Rest in black.  Estimated delivery on all items is April 2015.
