Resolving to be Healthy in 2017? Don’t Forget Your Ears, Kansas City!

December 31 08:41 2016

KANSAS CITY, MO – 12/30/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET) — As thousands of people in Kansas City prepare for another New Year, getting healthy will undoubtedly be among the top New Year’s Resolutions. In the month of January, Southwestern Hearing is offering FREE hearing tests at all 13 Kansas City area clinics, so people can start the New Year on track to a happy and healthy life.  Most people are unaware of the major role hearing plays in a person’s overall health.

Numerous studies have proven untreated hearing loss can lead to isolation, anxiety, depression, fatigue, loss of balance, cognitive decline and dementia. A simple hearing test can determine if hearing loss is caused by wax build up or if hearing aids are an option. Southwestern Hearing wants to make it easy and FREE for everyone in Kansas City to get on his or her way to a healthier 2017.

“80% of people put off getting the simple hearing loss treatment they deserve because they believe hearing loss is a normal side affect of aging,” Southwestern Hearing Vice President Brian Marino explained. “Many people do experience hearing loss as they age, but they don’t have to live with hearing loss that puts their health in harms way. “

Hearing connects people with the world around them and is a fundamental aspect of well-being. Here at Southwestern Hearing Centers in Kansas City our New Years Resolution is to make hearing better easier than ever before.
