Brisbane, Australia – April 23, 2015 – Sara Cummings Director and Producer along with Troy Guthrie who is the Co-Producer and Narrator for a documentary called “To Walk Again – Javy Macias Story.” The film highlights the possibility and effects a strong mindset and unique treatments can have on the human mind to reteach the human body to recover. To make this film possible, the crew has turned to the crowdfunding community. They launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $125,000 by May 12th, 2015.

Javy Macias is a loving husband with two kids. His entire world changed on November 17th, 2012 when he was in an accident that left him paralyzed. The documentary takes audiences on a journey to explore the different treatments for people who suffer from spinal cord injury. The options explored are Stem Cell Implants, NeuroPhysics, Project Walk featuring their robotic treatment, and conditioning of the human mind.

The film crew will follow Javy as he going on a 3-5 week treatment at Ken Ware’s center and the Robotic therapy at Project Walk in Australia. He will also undergo three different treatments of stem cell implants. This is a compelling film that shows one mans journey to recover and get his life back. The documentary is here to give people hope. It will provide people renewed sense of self to see that there may be a way to overcome this injury and heal.

Funds raised from Kickstarter will go towards producing the film and cover expenses for editing, travel and accommodation, and treatments for Javy. Those wishing to make a contribution can do so by visiting the campaign or clicking here. As a “thank you” for the support, backers get the chance to choose from many rewards.

This is an “all-or-nothing” deal, which means if the film does not reach the funding goal then they will not receive any help. It can be years before Javy Macias story is told. So know that a donation of any amount matters. Spread the word about the campaign on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social networks to let others know how they can help. Together, the world can bring Javy Macias story to life and bring hope to others who are going through the same thing.
